However, below are some of the other attractions that you should explore during your holiday in the Maldives.

National Museum

The National Museum of the Maldives is a picturesque building gifted to the nation by China. It houses an intriguing collection of ancient artefacts that helped to trace the history of this island nation.

Just a kilometre away from the western shores of Male is a tiny island known as Villingili. Although it’s the fifth district of the capital, this island couldn’t be more different than the capital what with its brightly-painted houses and laidback atmosphere.

Old Friday Mosque

With its history running back to the 1650s, the Old Friday Mosque is the most ancient of its kind in the Maldives. Its stunning structure – made of coral stone, which is intricately chiselled with Quranic script and decoration is truly a sight to behold.
