I started playing around with the Sakura Gelly Roll pens! I really love how the colors pop out on this black paper! These pens do not leave any type of odor like certain pens and markers, e.g. Sharpies. They don’t appear to bleed through paper at all. However, I find it difficult to draw smaller details which I have a tendency of doing. If you want to try these pens, I recommend your patterns being big and not so small because the tips aren’t that fine like a Sakura Micron .005 tip for example. When using these pens, I noticed that you do have to wait a bit for the ink to dry so that they do not smudge on your art and hand. Good news is, it does not take long to dry. Another thing that I noticed is when I was drawing this Zentangle design, I noticed the ink level start dropping a bit in the pens I was using. So they do seem to use a lot of ink, try to be a little conservative when using them. I don’t think these pens are made to fill in large spaces.
Overall I am a happy camper with these pens! ☺
Not all the Zentangle designs are original, they were inspired by some Zentangle patterns found on Pinterest. I’ll definitely have this finished soon to share with you guys!
