Design is all about the feeling (and function, of course, but feeling). So, to me, seeing a gorgeous space doesn't mean much if it doesn't get me butterflies in my stomach. To make me Dream, project myself inside the photos, actually try to feel the experience, smell the smells, touch the fabrics, sense the sun rays coming through the windows on my skin.
This is exactly what happened when these photos of Masseria Moroseta landed in my inbox a few days ago. I had to instantly pause what I was doing at the moment and stare. Just stare. This place is like it just popped out of my designer dreams. It is so close to what I'd like to build one day for myself on the southern Cretan mountains. The Puglian landscape is similar to the Cretan one; the harsh sun washed volumes, the stark nature, the wise olive trees, the blinding blue skies, and the crystal turquoise sea waters, very typical Mediterranean indeed.
