Small galley kitchen with bespoke breakfast nook

This gorgeous and unmistakenly serene galley kitchen is a perfect example that you don't really need a big space to create a functional and welcoming kitchen in your home.

The kitchen belongs to the ever-stylish couple behind Cereal and is designed by deVOL so, really, there is no surprise there that it is a gorgeous result. The dark moody hues and the shaker cabinetry enhance the architecture of this Georgian apartment and the smart placement of appliances and storage in this narrow area makes it a very practical room to cook but also to hang out.

For the later one, I love the idea of the small breakfast nook next to the window as a place to sit and grab a quick snack or sip on the first coffee of the day while watching the city waking up through the large window. The seating area is actually part of the countertop only somewhat narrowed, and this eliminates the need for extra furniture in this small room while creates a linear continuity that adds depth. Smart!
