How to Style a Vintage Blazer Inspired By 'The Nanny'

If you follow me on Instagram and caught my Stories over the weekend, you might recognize this Blazer from my Goodwill adventure with Anton. If not, allow me to introduce you to my new blazer bestie, a 1980s Ports dream that's 100 per cent virgin wool, oversized and, well, red. So basically my favourite thing ever. It fully channels my inner Fran Drescher, especially when paired with houndstooth pants (love these!), cat eyes, a beret and HULLOWglitter booties. Oh, and it was only $9!! For a wool blazer. Yeah. The thrifting gods were definitely smiling down on me that day.

Clearly all that thrifting made me hungry, so off I went to Route 99, the perfect backdrop for a Vintage Blazer. I had the veggie burger with some slutty fries, and as you can see in the above shot, I was very much into it... that poor burger didn't know what hit it. And of course, Fellow Diners had no idea what was going on either; 'Who is that extra chick,' they thought, 'and why is she snapping photos indoors— wearing sunglasses— while posing with a burger? Is she nuts?!' Fair question, fellow diners, but who can really say.

But back to the blazer (I've named her Fran, for future reference). Another favourite feature of it has to be the soundtrack it evokes in my mind every time I throw it on— 'She is the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan... the flashy girl from Flushing; the nanny named Fran' (dah!). Can you hear it?? It's a thing of sheer beauty. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, allow me to blow your mind. No really, go watch the clip— I can wait.

Wearing: vintage Ports blazer (similar style); Urban Outfitters turtleneck; H&M houndstooth pants; Forever 21 glitter boots (similar and even cuter); Urban Outfitters sunglasses; Forever 21 backpack and beret

Thanks for reading friends, and if you're a fan of thrifting yourself, I would love to hear all about your favourite find! xx
