Chris’ Hot Dogs on Dexter Avenue in downtown Montgomery is a city tradition and has been in business for almost 100 years. Established in 1917 by Christopher Anastasios “Chris” Katechis, Chris’ Hot Dogs is the oldest family owned restaurant in Montgomery.
Personally, I like the hot dogs at Chris’ and the famous chili sauce is excellent, however, my favorite is their cheeseburger — it’s a close second to The Hamburger King on South Decatur Street.
