Antimicrobial Cinema Fabric Manufacturer – Responsefabrics

Cinema hall majorly consists of an auditorium hall with a comfortable seating pattern and a theatre’s lobby used for entertainment purpose. It has a tall screen and rows of more than 20 seats. The seats usually help the audience enjoy their time and also focus on the exact place.

The basic ingredient used for a comfortable cinema seat is its Fabric and in the time of this pandemic, what else is better than an Antimicrobial cinema fabric, a fabric used in cinema seat that also destroys or prevents the pathogenic microorganism from growth and reproduction like bacteria, virus, fungi or algae.

What are the best fabrics used for Cinema seats?

During these pandemic COVID 19 we increased our manufacturing process with the best team of experts and professionals especially for the manufacturing of Antimicrobial cinema Fabrics which are usually made up using synthetics, polyester, nylons, or elastin blend fabrics, which are naturally resistant to odour and stains caused by bacteria. When these fabrics are added with the antimicrobial additives in liquid or powder form, it then becomes antimicrobial fabrics.

These microbial additives provide the pathogen resistance and thus help in the protection of the audience. It also helps to increase the life expectancy of the fabric. The most frequently used fabric for antimicrobial cinema is velvet, trevira and molten fabrics. The seat’s filling is most often made up with elastic polyurethane foam. These fabrics, when added with microbial additives, not only prevents the microbial agent but also do not wear out and keeps the maintenance easy and versatile. Furthermore, these fabrics are fire resistance and also high abrasion resistance. Due to this, the seats last for a longer time period and is easy to clean.

How is antimicrobial cinema fabric different from ordinary cinema fabric?

As mentioned earlier, antimicrobial cinema fabrics are made by adding some microbial additives that control the growth of pathogens. Unlike the ordinary cinema fabric, an antimicrobial substance is formulated into the extent of antimicrobial additives. When introduced into a surface during the production process, an additive will surround a specific antimicrobial activity, such as silver, which can be prepared into a concentrated powder or liquid suspension depending on the material and manufacturing process.

Once it is infused into a product, an antimicrobial additive will work continuously to make a product more hygienic, reducing the possibility for cross-contamination and extending the lifetime of the fabric. The antimicrobial cinema fabric reduces the negative effect of the micro-organism and helps to provide cleaner and hygienic fabric and stays fresher for a longer time and have an increases lifespan offering a notable benefit to the consumer.

The microbial additives in the fabric will also never wear off or leech from the surface; therefore, they are making them safe for costumers since the world has become more health-conscious, so in the situation like this the audience are seeking for fabrics containing a trusted antimicrobial technology than some ordinary cinema fabric.

Test process during the manufacturing process of Antimicrobial cinema fabrics.

For the manufacturing of antimicrobial cinema fabrics, we go through the AATCC 100 test method. This is also the most standard test method accepted by the different health industry. The AATCC 100 test method is designed in order to test the ability of fabrics to control the growth of microorganisms, within a 24 hour period of contact. For this,

  • Firstly the test fabric is taken, and the strap is injected with microorganisms. The injection is done in such a way that microbial suspension only touches the fabric.
  • It is then confirmed that the neutralization method effectively counterbalances the antimicrobial agent in the fabric.
  • Then, additional inoculated control and test fabrics is done to incubate it in sealed jars, for 24 hours.
  • After incubation, microbial concentrations are set on.
  • Reduction of microorganisms relative to initial concentrations and the control fabric is finally calculated.

The fabrics are further tested to make it fire and abrasion-resistant. The test for abrasion resistance includes:-

  • Firstly, rubbing the fabric until it is damaged.
  • The time varies depending upon the type of fabric.
  • For this, a piece of the fabric is placed between two discs, and then the fabric is rubbed with a constant force.
  • Normal fabrics usually last for 15-35 thousand cycles while the abrasion-resistant fabrics last more than 100 thousand cycles.

These are the tests we go through to provide the best fabric for the costumers.

Why Response fabrics over other manufactures?

Response fabrics have years of experience performing antimicrobial testing. We prefer using the AATCC 100 Test method to test the bactericidal activity of antimicrobial fabrics and also go through an excellent procedure to give accurate results which allows the costumers to find the proficiency of their fabrics. We are one of the leading antimicrobial Cinema manufacturers in India.

Response fabrics have made the concept of antimicrobial fabrics a practical and economic improvement for various industries and markets. Different processes are used in manufacturing the antimicrobial cinema fabrics to increase the quality of the fabric. We always tend to focus on both the looks and quality of the fabrics; thereby, the fabrics need to be durable and fit properly in the seats without causing any external damage. In the long term use, the seat needs to be efficient for the audience, healthy and last for a long time.

Response fabrics thereby manufacture the fabric suitable to every element of the cinema seats. Antimicrobial additives added in the fabric helps to protect these fabrics from the pathogens.
