It is that time of year again… LadyCat’s Favorite Things!!! As per tradition, here is our annual Holiday Gift Guide filled with items that I have loved using this past year and would highly recommend. It is also filled with items that I have been dying to try. These items have been personally tested by me, and have for the most part, been purchased from Amazon.com.
First up on our holiday Gift guide is this eight-hour cream gift set from Elizabeth Arden. I originally tried out this cream after hearing that it was a favorite of Beyonce’s. I have noticed that this cream has made my skin feel smooth and for $35, its a great deal for an anti-aging routine for your late 20s/ early 30s.
I first heard of Snarky Tea on Shark Tank and immediately ordered the Wake the F*ck Up Tea. From what I can tell, this energize tea seems to be a repackaging of the Wake the F*ck Up tea. It looks like they made it more shelf friendly for distribution in stores. I am not sure. It is currently unavailable, however, if you see this in your local store, be sure to pick some up. It definitely will help you feel more awake, especially if you are not a coffee drinker and prefer tea.
I suffer from frequent migraines… normally around that time of the month (I am sure my girls understand what I mean). This migraine stick is available on Amazon for $10.99. It is one of the only things that helps me become functional again when I have a migraine. If you suffer from frequent headaches or migraines, I would recommend giving this a try.
Every now and then, I find myself missing my home state of Pennsylvania. These candles by Homesick Scented Candles are designed to smell like your home state. They are available for $29.83 and are a comforting scent to fill your room with on an afternoon filled with melancholy.
While I don’t have a lot of jewelry, this mirror has always been a dream item for me. I think it is so cute and is a great way to view your full outfit and pair your accessories with it. It makes the styling process a bit more effortless and it almost always presents you with a mirror selfie opportunity. This mirror is available on Amazon for $129.99.
This is definitely an impulse purchase. I don’t know why it looks so chic to me, but it’s something about the numbers being spelled out that just looks so unique and different for me. I had never seen a clock like this before and immediately fell in love with it. This clock is available starting at $59.95 for the 8″ and $99.95 for the 12″ clock.
L’oreal is a well-known drug store makeup brand. This past year I have tried every concealer known to man to try to combat my face sweat dilemma. I tried Smashbox, Clinique, Morphe, ColourPop, Makeup Forever, you name it, I tried it. And for the winters, I like to wear my Morphe concealer. But for those hot summer months, this Infallible Concealer does the trick for me. It is waterproof and for me, it lasts a good 16 hours. This concealer is available for $9.98 and is the most affordable option of the concealers I have tried out this year.
I have sampled these brushes in Ulta, and I really love how they work. However, since I already own a ton of makeup brushes, I never got around to purchasing these. They are available on Amazon for $82.95 and on Morphe.com for $49.00. These brushes are so beautiful and are the perfect gift for any Jeffree Star fan.
Looking for the perfect k-beauty pout? Look no further than this two-toned lip bar. I went on a hunt for this k-beauty lip look after getting into the k-drama Hello My Twenties (out on Netflix). These are available for $17.50 and is an effortless way to try the ombre lip trend.
The mini-break palette is one of my favorite palettes from 2019. I purchased mine on Black Friday (heck yasss for free shipping) and have been using it since I received it last week. I think this is one of the most wearable palettes by Jeffree Star and there are so many looks you can make with it. This palette is available on Amazon for $37.51 and on JeffreeStarCosmetics.com for $28.00.
This book outlines the lives of 50 Fashion Legends from Coco Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld to Cristóbal Balenciaga. This is the perfect gift for the fashionista in your life (me!) and is available for $16.73.
Mules have been on trend for 2019, and I assume they will continue to be trendy come 2020. These mules are a lovely baby blue (I will post a review on my Instagram account as soon as I receive them in the mail) and are one of my Christmas gifts to myself. They are available for $21.99.
This list would be amiss without the Conspiracy Palette on it. It is the most in-demand Holiday Palette of the season and is available for pre-order on JeffreeStarCosmetics.com for $54.00.
Smart Plugs. Yes, I will say it again, Smart Plugs. I had no idea they existed and the thought of not having to get out of bed to shut off my lap or to not have to worry about shutting off my Christmas lights that are across the room. That I can control them from my phone?! Revolutionary. This is definitely a purchase I will be making in 2020, and I think they are the perfect gift for your loved one. This set of four is available for $31.99 (which is a steal!).
Now the only thing that can really follow up a smart plug is a smart bulb. A close friend of mine had these on her wedding registry, and after seeing them in action in her apartment, I am a believer. For $41.99, this set of four bulbs is a cost-effective way to try this trend out. The bulbs can be controlled through your phone, Google Home, and/ or Alexa devices. They change colors, intensity, and seem to be of good quality.
Bath bombs are a great gift to give someone in your life who lives a stressful life. To me, they are a reminder to self-care and to relax. This set of six is available for $29.99.
Love Beauty and Planet is one of my favorite hair care finds of 2019. I know they have been a thing for a while, but I love how silky this brand makes my hair feel. I also love the price, this set is available for $13.49.
To maintain my ginger locks, I discovered Overtone, which is a colored conditioner system. It is available for $47 and includes a travel conditioner, a regular conditioner, and a color refresher. I would recommend wearing gloves, as this does stain your hands, as well as immediately rinsing off any residue in your shower.
I discovered hair drying brushes from Rich Lux when he did a haul video. This brush is what I swear by and how I style my hair on the daily. It is available for $41.99.
Face masks are my favorite way to self-care and unwind after a long day. This nine pack is available for $16.87 and features cute animal faces.
I hope this Gift Guide helps make your life a little easier when shopping for the LadyCat in your life. Happy Holidays from the LadyCat family to yours. I will be posting throughout my break and cannot wait to ramp things up in 2020. I hope you will come along for the journey with me
