Similar to many of Mari’s scuptures of the late 50s and early 60s for Danese is this Cylinder.  Inside the cylinder is a cube with black dots on the faces.  The cylinder measures approximately 3 1/4 in height by 4” in diameter.  The suspended cube has 16 black dots on each side, evenly spaced, and the same on each side. Auction ended October 29, 2017 at 7:15PM.  5 bidders placed 14 bids and the piece sold for $1284.00. Condition was described as “Considerable surface scratching and a couple shallow nicks but nothing major or irreparable.”
