Biopack Packaging Is Made From Seeds That Grow When Planted

It’s great to see innovation in the Packaging space, especially in an era when single-use plastic and overconsumption are such a problem.

Biopack aims to take on some of those problems, with clever packaging that contains Seeds, allowing the decomposing material to actually grow new life when it’s finished. The first product is an egg carton, which carefully holds four eggs from the store. When you’re done with the package, you simply rip it apart and water it. Voilà! You have growing legume seeds, already in its growing medium. The seeds should grow within 4-5 days, giving you a quick start to your new ‘crop’.

We’d be eager to see more applications of this eco-friendly approach to product packaging. Via DesignBoom:
