Peel and dice the onion and garlic, saute in the oil. Once the onion is soft, add the spices and fry for 1 minute, then add the ground beef. Stir regularly until all the beef is browned and make sure no clumps of meat form.
Slice the tomatoes, pepper and peel and slice the carrots into small chunks. Now add these vegetables to the fried meat. Fry for about 5 minutes all together and then add the water, tomato puree and stock cube.
Simmer for 20-30 minutes until all the vegetables are cooked and the sauce has thickened. Now add the drained kidney beans and taste, season accordingly.
