Dessert for Valentine : Valentine's Milk Jelly

Hi everyone! Soon it's gonna be Valentine's day ! Woohoo! So do you have any plan or something for surprising your lover on Valentine's day yet? For me , I would stay at home and read pharmacology book on Valentine's day. What a nerd! hahaha . By the way today I would like to show you an easy-to-follow recipe and it looks amazing! I got this idea when I was sleeping. So I tried to make this recipe in the morning and it worked! I'm so happy about that. So let's see how to make the cute milk Jelly for Valentine's day.

PREP TIME : -
COOK TIME : 45 mins
READY IN : 45 mins

Ingredients ( for 8 small cups)

For the centre part ( the pink one)
1. 1 teaspoon agar-agar powder
2. 1 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
3. 1/3 cup ( 80 mL) milk
4. 2 tablespoons heavy cream
5. Red coloring agent

For the outer part ( the white part)
1. 1 teaspoon agar-agar powder
2. 1 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
3. 1/3 cup ( 80 mL) milk
4. 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Special equipments
1. Chocolate mould ( preferably heart shape)
2. Muffin cups ( I used the silicone one because it's easy to take the jelly out)

Instructions

1. For a centre part, mix agar agar powder and milk together in a small saucepan, then bring about to boil with a medium heat. Stiring continuously until the solution becomes clear which is take around 10-15 minutes

2. Add sugar and heavy cream into the mixture, stir it until the sugar is all dissolved, then strain the mixture through a sieve. Bring the mixture to boil again.

3. Once it's boiled , remove from the heat and add the red coloring agent. Then pouring the solution into a mold and let it cool down until it harden which is about 15 minutes.

4. Take the jelly out of the mold and put at the centre of the muffin molds ( one jelly per one muffin mold)

5. For the outer part, do the same procedure as the centre part except adding red coloring agent. Then pour the solution in a muffin mold carefully ( just try not to pour it on top of the pink jelly), make sure that the centre part still show up then wait for about 15 minutes. Take out the jelly from the mold gently . Put them in the refrigerator before having it.

Ps. The texture of jelly of this recipe is firm and it's easy to be taken out of the mold. If you want softer jelly. Use 3/4 tablespoon agar-agar powder and 1/4 tablespoon gelatin powder instead of 1 tablespoon agar-agar powder. I don't recommend to use only gelatin powder because it is stuck on chocolate mold and that was disaster for me.

So I hope that you wanna try this recipe as your " Valentine's treat" this year. Please just let me know if you like this recipe . By the way , Happy Valentine's Day!
