Valentine’s Pizza

I think every weekend calls for a little pizza!  When you make your own, you control the quality and quantity of ingredients.  Go ahead- load that Pizza up with veggies!  Feel good about eating pizza…  Plus, it’s too cold to go out!

Have a little fun- decorate your pizza with heart-shaped pepperoni!

4 whole wheat sandwich thins

1 c. tomato sauce

1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Pepperoni

Basil, oregano, fresh tomatoes, etc.

  1.  Spread tomato sauce onto each sandwich thin.  Next, sprinkle shredded cheese.  Use a knife or scissors to shape the pepperonis.  Place pepperoni on top of the cheese.  Bake in the oven or microwave oven for 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and starting to brown.  Garnish with basil and/or oregano.
