Sabudana (Tapioca Pearls) Bhel

Cooking Time : 30 minutes (Does not include Sabudana Soaking time)
Servings :  4 - 5
Ingredients : 
  • 1 cup sabudana / tapioca pearls
  • 2 medium sized potatoes
  • Red chili powder
  • 2 tsp peanuts
  • 2 tsp cashews
  • 3 tsp oil
  • Lemon juice as required
  • Salt, to taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ¼ cup potato sev
Recipe : 
  1. Rinse sabudana in water, soak overnight.  The same soaking process as we do for sabudana khichadi.
  2. Peel the potato. Cut them in thin slices. 
  3. Heat a pan and dry roast peanuts, cashew nuts till they are crisp and golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in the same pan.  Fry potato slices. Remove and keep aside.
  5. In the same pan, add sabudana and stir continuously.
  6. Cook till sabudana become transparent, softened & completely cooked.  
  7. Now mix the peanuts, cashew nuts, potatoes, coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder.
  8. Serve the sabudana  bhel in a plate with coriander & potato sev garnishing. 

Add some sugar if you want the sweet taste.
