Chicken Jalfrezi

Chicken Jalfrezi , one of the most popular chicken curry dishes in Pakistan. A delightfully flavorful curry with tender juicy chunks of chicken in a spicy tomato sauce studded with stir-fried peppers and onions. Try our version, you will love it.


  • Oil 1 TBS
  • Capsicum Julienne 1
  • Onion Julienne 1
  • Oil 2-3 TBS
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Boneless chicken Julienne ½ kg
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Black paper Crushed ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • Tomato paste 2 TBS
  • Hot chili sauce 1TBS
  • Soya sauce 1 TBs
  • Whole spice powder ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp or to taste
  • Tomato Deseeded & Julienne 1


  1. In wok, add oil, capsicum and onion, sauté for a minute, set aside.
  2. In wok, add oil and ginger garlic paste and boneless chicken, sauté until it changes color.
  3. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper crushed, coriander powder and give it a good mix.
  4. Add tomato paste, hot chili sauce and soya sauce and mix.
  5. Add whole spice powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well.
  6. Add tomato (deseeded), sautéed vegetables and mix well.
  7. Chicken Jalfrezi is ready, serve with rice.
