There's nothing much to say this spring, as I am reconsidering my writing projects and trying to revamp my marketing efforts. Three of my novels are for sale --- "Rock and Roll Love Story : The Two Volume Set", "Punt Formation" and "Hail the Morning Star."
"Rock and Roll Love Story" is my major effort so far, a 500-plus page tome that stretches from 1978 to the dawn of the Millennium. I was inspired by my college punk blues band, the 70's novel by Irwin Shaw, "Rich Man, Poor Man" --- which traces the rise of working class kid Rudy Jordache to tragedy and riches --- and oddly enough Herman Woek's "Winds of War" which features cameos of historic figures with a fiction about an under-sized, overachieving Navy captian Pug Henry..
Credit for this book goes to my cousin Cheryl, who suggested it during a year long career and health crisis around winter in The Year 2000.
"Hail The Morning Star" also dates back to college, when I conceived a "Game of Thrones" type fantasy 20 years before George R.R. Martin. It's about a lost king who suffers a brilliant madness and his alliance with the angelic Cerefin and wild Noman to fight the half-human Karg barbarians and their Dark Lord.
"Punt Formation" works off a roster that is very old, all about an NFL long snapper, his brainy, troubled quarterback and their girlfriends as they prepare for the opening game against Dallas.
