Paper is expensive and there's really nothing I can about the cost of my paperbacks. I'm selling them via the global Book market with no profit to myself. The publisher and retailer get paid but I don't see a penny of that.
The e-books are another story. Amazon Kindle takes about 65% of my sale price and the rest goes to me. That's because I price my books as low as they can go under Kindle publishing rules.
For that reason, I am thinking of discontinuing the paperbacks and selling all my works exclusively in the Amazon Kindle e-book store.
You don't need a Kindle device to read my e-books; you can download the free app and read it on any smart phone, table or computer.
Keep in mind that currently Amazon does not allow you to buy Kindle e-books on an IPhone so if you want to use yours you'll have to download the book to another device. Once you've downloaded it on your account, you can read it on the IPhone Kindle app. Android phones however can download Kindle e-books. Hopefully Amazon and Apple can negotiate this sometime in the next updates of the IPhone Kindle app.
All my e-books except the two volume set go for 99 cents. Rock and Roll Love Story, including The River and The Ocean, go for just $2.99. It costs a little more than just two e-books because there are more pages than any two of the others put together.
So you see cost is not t a factor to most people in places where my e-books are for sale. Amazon has web sites for North America, Western Europe and Japan and people elsewhere can buy e-books from web sites in the nearest country.
I am an American and my books are all written in English. I have no plans to release any of books in any other language.
Download your e-book soon and get started!
