Manchester

I don't know much about Ariana Grande and her music; I did read somewhere that she can be a bit of a diva.

After giving a benefit in Manchester less than two weeks after the bombing of her concert there what she now really appears to me to be is a classy, sensitive, intelligent and courageous young woman. And Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber were there, showing a different side of them.

I guess us old classic rock fogeys are going to have to rethink what we think about young people and their music.

A cynical commentator on Fox News said in response we can't beat terrorism with benefit concerts and candlelit vigils and I couldn't disagree more.

The people who think we will beat terrorism with guns and bombs and Muslim bans don't know the first thing about terrorism. Because the terrorists actually want us to come at them with guns and bombs and racism because that only creates more terrorism. We've been fighting the war on terror that way for almost twenty years and there are now more terrorists in more places than ever before.

It's long past time to realize that our war on terror is a miserable failure.

All we are saying, is give peace a chance!
