#TransBooks365 - Favorite Trans Books & Authors

The idea behind #TransBooks365 is to share our favorite trans books and authors on a day that doesn't mean anything, to celebrate the fact that trans books are worthwhile all year long. It's a chance for trans authors to see their books blow up in a way that prompted by a response to bigotry.

Let's start with the 3 books of  the #TransGirlSummer event, which is how I came across today's event. The Calyx Charm by May Peterson (which I bought a copy of on Friday), Fake It by Lily Seabrooke (which I need to read), and For the Love of April French by Penny Aimes (which I reviewed last week).

Next, let's take a look at a few of my favorite recent reads, Demon of Want by Freja Ki Gray (check out my review), Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki (check out my review), TERF Wars by Dharma Kelleher (check out my reviews of the whole series), and Transmuted by Eve Harms (check out my review).

It's so hard to pick favorites, so I'm going to indulge a bit here. Some of my favorites reads over the years have included Stealing Thunder & Gifting Fire by Alina Boyden (check out my reviews here and here), Chorus of Dragons by Jenn Lyons (check out my reviews here), No Man of Woman Born by Ana Mardoll, and Prince(ss) by Sara Gravatt-Wimsatt (check out my review here), and The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang.

Continuing to look back, some older favorites include Long Black Veil by Jennifer Finney Boylan (check out my review), The Book of Shadows by James Reese, Raptor by Gary Jennings, and Mistress Of The Air by S. Nano (check out my review).

And looking further back, we have Trans Wizard Harriet Porber and the Bad Boy Parasaurolophus by Chuck Tingle (check out my review), Hell's Mercy by Katherine Wyvern (check out my review), and Silver by Darcy Abriel (check out my review).

Looking ahead, let's go with a trio of recent and forthcoming titles on my TBR shelf - Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin (coming in Feb 2022), The Companion by E.E. Ottoman (released April 16th), and By Way of Sorrow by Robyn Gigl (released March 30th).
