Mad Ship is the second book in The Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb; my first literary encounter with Sarah MacLean, Bomb Shell is the start of her "blazingly sexy, unapologetically feminist" new series, Hell’s Belles; and Knight or Knave is the second book in The Cycle of Oak, Yew, Ash, and Rowan by Andre Norton and Sasha Miller.

The Calyx Charm is a book I sadly missed out on as a review title because it was part of a series, but by May Peterson assured me that while it does draw on the first book a bit, it totally can be read as a standalone.
I thoroughly enjoyed the short stories I've read of D'Angel's short stories, so I splurged on his pansexual alpha vampire erotic fairytale novel, The Fallen Star.
