Feeling inspired by Trek America 360

At the end of April I was invited along by the team at Trek America to attend a US-themed event to celebrate the launch of their 360 experiences - amazing VR films where you can view some of the USA's most beautiful national parks in glorious VR. As someone who loves to travel and is a fully paid up America fan when it comes to holidays, I was so happy to be able to attend!

The event was awesome, with some much to do, see and enjoy. There was a band (the phenomenal Loose Change) playing American rock and country classics, food from the four corners of the US, a casino where you could gamble your Trek dollars, and a superb guestlist - I spent the whole evening bumping into dear blog-friends. I'd popped along with the lovely Emma, and I finally got to meet the fabled Aftab, too!

I love a little flutter on the blackjack tables, and it was great fun to gamble with our millions of Trek dollars (and much lower risk than spending ones own cash!).

There was ample time to pose with our Trek dollars, enjoy the refreshments, and experience the amazing VR videos. How wonderful it was to be transported from London to the heart of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Yosemite or Monument Valley. If you'd like to see the VR videos for yourself, they are all available on the Trek America website.

While I didn't win the grand prize of a 7 day trip (well done, Leigh!), I did have a marvellous time and both Leanne and I picked up sweet wins on the blackjack games by making the most Trek dollars - my prize was an awesome travel bag packed with travel guides, toiletries and other travel goodies!

All this American joy had me super inspired, so I thought I'd do a little travelly post inspired by Trek America's hospitality. Coming soon, a post on my five favourite places to visit in the US - and five I'm dying to visit!

Disclaimer: I was hosted by the lovely team at Trek America (and had a ball!). All words, thoughts, opinions and general cheesiness all my own.
