Prologue

A young man riding his vintage Ducati cafe racer reaches a iron gate guarded by a thirty feet high wall. He put the bike on standby mode and walks to login his identity. He then reaches near the gate and presses the bell button on the device installed on it. A robotic female voice begins, “Dear visitor, kindly keep your eyes in front of the device aiming the circles for identification. The man takes a step ahead and looks straight into the embossed circles on the device. A yellow holographic light beams out from the device and scans his eyes.

A robotic voice repeats, “Good Afternoon, Mr. Alex Robicquet. Welcome to Hart Estate. Your appointment with Mr. Evon Hart is fixed at 15.00 hours this afternoon. Kindly park your vehicle in the right shed and enter the gate. A shetter towards the right parking lot opened where he places the bike. He then entered the gate which opened into a heavily guarded cubical. The voice repeated, “Please get in for security checkup.” As Alex entered the cubical, four handful sized spherical drones starts scanning him and his bag pack. The voice concludes, “You are free to walk in Mr. Robicquet. A vehicle waits for you inside. It will take you to Hart Bungalow.” Alex walked out of the cubical and saw a single door micro car waiting inside the estate. As he reached by the car door it opened automatically. A robotic male voice adviced, “Sir, please get it.” Alex got a bit stunned to see this unmanned auto driving vehicle. He recollected the news from Technology Today News Program in which he saw Mr. Hart speaking about his self-driven electric car project. He then reckoned
the car must be a prototype of that same project.

As the car ascended the route, a surveillance drone moved along with them. Alex further witnessed an estate based on zero carbon footprint. A forest spread out laying concrete roadways all around with proper projections. Open greenfields containing Greek, Persian, Asian Deity Idols whereas a variety of dense flower scapes flourished. Streams generating hydraulic energy and solar panels placed on every road and the quarters built around. Horses rode around, duck and duckling floated the lakes whereas sparrows tweeting on the trees. The estate seemed a combination of natural habitat with technological amenities positioned for easy access and vigilance.

It took an approximate ten minutes for Alex to reach Mr. Hart’s bungalow. A Protobot awaited to welcome Alex on his arrival. Alex recognised the model, he and Professor Stephan Thrun had particularly made for Hart Group of Industries considering their space missions. As Alex got off the car the Protobot with batch number HE45 greeted him, “Welcome Mr. Robicquet. Hope you had a safe journey. I am glad to escort you to Mr. Hart.” “With Pleasure,” Alex expresses. They both reached the entrance door where HE45 got his batch identified then took Alex inside. The Hall seemed like a grandeur of an art collection elegantly furnished whereas enclosed by a library towards the east wall with two armchairs faced outwards. “Who designed this furniture!”, asked Alex with awe. The protobot answers with an instant, “Mr. Robicquet, to be precise its the designs of Carlo Bugatti.” Alex followed the protobot as it took him on the first floor and opened the door to a grand balcony.

The vista of the balcony made Alex awestruck. He realised that, that he had journeyed a long way to witness a magnificent valley followed by a sea view. As his eyes slide from left to right he saw Mr. Hart sat on his ultra tech wheelchair in the corner by the fence. Before Alex took his next step, Mr. Hart turned and expressed, “Good Afternoon Mr. Robicquet. Hope you had a pleasant ride?”. “Surely, I did Mr. Hart. In fact I feel re-energised”. Mr. Hart moved near Alex and inclined his chair gradually in an erect position to shook hand. Expressing the gesture, Mr. Hart requested Alex to sit on antique chair beside. Out of curiosity Alex questioned Mr. Hart with regards the chair design. On which HE45 replied, “To be precise Mr. Robicquet it’s a Sedia,1902 Carlo Bugatti design. “These designs are majestic Mr. Hurt. You have a classic taste for decor.” Listing to Alex’s compliment, Evon Hart guffawed. Alex got a bit nervous with a thought that Evon may have found him as a flatterer. “To be frank Mr. Hart, I didn’t wish to sound Metaphorical.” Evon took a deep breath then replied, “Dear Alex, do consider this as an informal meeting. Which really is, and I would be pleased if you call me Evon.”

Evon then pressed a button on his wheelchair. A gadget stuck to his both legs and then he stood and took a walk. “Fantastic! Isn’t it Alex?”
Alex was mute, though he saw this gadget made Evon walk easily. Just like the way he walked when he was normal a few years ago. “Didn’t you see the beauty of this gadget?” Alex nodded in consent with a smile. Evon continued, “But this gadget has it’s limitations and hence it has limitions. Based on hydrullic refills”. Alex now understood where Evon was heading to and kept listening. “We are the creators of our inventions but not the one who has created this all. Look at this Protobot. I own it. I gave it a batch name. It learns everything I have learned and acts like my Prototype since I am disabled. But you are his creator. It answered you question accurately with just an influx of time. What you have made is mere Godly and are willing to defy God but still find this antique chair majestic. We are fascinated by others work and expressing it dearly makes us conscious. Conscious than any other being on this planet and hence we have met today. Today you will share your ideas of transfering our consciousness into this Protobot. While the day will not be far long when we will experience Perpetuity. A day when we will achieve Goodhood.”
