Hey everyone and Welcome to Thoughts of Cromwell. My name is Lamina Precious from Lamina’s Thoughts and this is my second guest post on this blog I was here previously where I talked about being single from a girl’s point of view. As you already know, this is the second part of the post David previously wrote called “What makes the Perfect girl to him” and today I am here to talk about “What makes the perfect guy to her”, first of all I would like to say that NOBODY’S PERFECT but we all have our definitions of perfection and so instead of me treating this topic from my perspective alone I asked a question on some social media platforms and that question was:
What makes the perfect guy to you?
I got a lot of positive responses even really funny ones and I merged all of them based on common things that most of the girls that responded said. So take a look at this list:
He must be Godly: A guy that loves, fears and respects God is a must have.
He must have good sense of humor: This is one major thing that most people want their guy to have. There is nothing worse than telling a little joke and expecting him to understand or even laugh but he doesn’t. And he can’t even take a little joke that’s not nice at all.
He must be sensible and smart: This doesn’t actually mean he must be book smart but he must have the smallest element of sense (If you know what I mean).
Good communication skills: What is a relationship without communication. If you can’t talk to each other what is the point ?
He must be tall: This came up a lot even though I don’t feel this is compulsory . On behalf of short boys, I do not approve this message but a tall boy would be nice.
Good Appearance: I personally feel like boys were given the ability to look good by God but when a boy decides not to look good, I’m like what’s your problem , when girls see a boy that looks good their heads turn upside down.
Caring: A guy that cares is the best, when a guy cares he makes a lot of effort and that’s what a girl wants.
Neat: there is nothing worse than a guy that is all forms of dirty Abeg don’t be dirty. Cleanliness is next to Godliness
Hardworking: Don’t be a lazy guy, being hard-working is one thing a guy must have.
Honesty: even though it’s hard to find an honest guy in this generation but it still matters that you should be honest at least you guys should try to be honest.
Personally, I agree with this list especially that the guy must have a good sense of humor, good communication skills, neat and Godly. While I was getting the opinions from people, I noticed that a lot of people actually had a well written list of how they want their perfect guy to be and some even said that if a guy doesn’t have almost everything on the list, he is not their guy. I actually found it very funny because there are some situations where it is hard to find the so called “Perfect guy” and you waste a lot of time looking for that one guy but in reality the guy that is meant for you doesn’t have most of the qualities you are looking for. It is not wrong to have a list but when you allow that list judge how you find your soulmate totally, that’s when it becomes wrong. Make a list that makes it easy for you to find someone you can vibe to don’t make a list that makes you look like you are looking for superman and we all know that he isn’t real.
Basically, the point of the first and second part of this series is to help you focus on the right things to look for in your potential partner and that partner doesn’t need to have everything on both lists but just the right amount that will make you happy. Let’s not forget that its all for fun, don’t take it seriously (except the serious parts).
