Review of Don’t Let it Snow in Deadwood by Ann Charles

Violet Parker just wants to get to her kids on Christmas Eve in Rapid City, but a Snow storm could mean trouble getting out of Deadwood in Don’t Let it Snow in Deadwood. With her boyfriend Doc, her cousin Natalie, her friends Cornelius and Old Man Harvey, and a chicken along for the ride, things could get interesting. Not to mention her sister, Susan, will be at her parent’s house when they get there. How could things get worse? Good thing the cavalry is on standby because Old Man Winter is determined to ruin Violet’s Christmas plans.

This was another great story. Violet and Susan just never got along, so when things go south, it’s no wonder Violet doesn’t kill her. We definitely get more back story on why things are so horrible between them. Violet and Doc also get much closer in their personal relationship. She might eventually be able to accept that marriage could be in her future. And her kids love Doc. I keep waiting for things to resolve between Natalie and Cooper, but so far, no luck. Then there’s Reid and Aunt Zoe. I hope she takes him back eventually. No monster fighting in this story, but that’s okay. Sometimes family holidays are enough trouble all by themselves.
