Review of Lingus by Mariana Zapata

When twenty-five year old school teach Katherine Berger gets dragged to a Porn convention by her best friend, Nikki, the last person she expected to meet was a nice, funny, cute guy named Tristan King who wanted to get to know her better in Lingus.Kat met Tristan while waiting for Nikki to meet her porn idol, Calum Burro, and ran into him again a few more times. Then she finds out that Tristan also goes by the porn name of Robby Lingus and she’s not sure how she feels about the fact that he’s had sex with lots of women in movies. Since Tristan insists he’s not looking for a girlfriend and just wants to be friends, it shouldn’t be a problem, right? After weeks of getting mixed signals from Tristan, Kat’s about to find out even porn stars get jealous. But can they both survive a real relationship?

This was a cute story, if a little juvenile at times. Kat hasn’t had good success in the relationship department, so she’s a little wary to begin with and Tristan hasn’t had a serious relationship since getting involved in porn. It’s no wonder that the two of them suck at being in a relationship. I think the way this ends is the only way that would satisfy someone like Kat. And can I say, the willpower she exhibits by not watching the Robby Lingus movies is amazing? I couldn’t do it. If you want a fun, lighthearted read, you can’t go wrong with this story.
