When Lisa Daley’s life is in danger from the mob and her family asks Remy Guidry to secretly protect her, things could go south in Close Cover.Lisa is still smarting from Remy’s rejection of her at Sanctum BDSM club and she doesn’t plan on repeating the mistake. But Remy has secretly been attracted her for a while and only rejected her because he thought she was something other than she really is. Now that he knows the truth, he wants another chance with Lisa. But when she finds out the truth about why he’s with her, it could ruin everything between them. Will Remy be able to win her back or will the mob find her before they can reconcile?

I’m not sure yet if I’ll read all of the stories in this crossover series, but time will tell. I really liked Lisa and Remy’s story and as always, I enjoyed getting to visit with the McKay-Taggart team. Lisa is someone who has her pride and doesn’t like to take handouts from her family, even when she’s in hot water. And Remy hurt her pride when he rejected her. Remy was once married to a woman who took everything from him in the divorce and he has no intention to make that mistake again. Initially he mistakes Lisa for the same kind of woman, but he’s totally wrong. They have way more in common than he could ever imagine. His family is a hoot and I suspect we’ll be seeing some of these characters again at some point in time. It should be interesting to see in what ways.
