Jasper County, TX (August 17, 2019) On the morning of August 16th, a two-car collision happened on U.S. 96, close to Business 96. A 37-year-old woman named Kimberly Davis was traveling in a 2008 Saturn passenger vehicle when she ran through a stop sign. As a result, she crashed into a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The accident took place at around 11:15 a.m.
When crews arrived to help everyone, they found a 16-year-old injured at the scene. He was one of the occupants in Davis’ vehicle. An emergency helicopter flew him to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Davis sustained injuries as well as two other passengers in her vehicle. They were all rushed to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance for treatment.
The crash is still being investigated by authorities.
Our thoughts are with the families of Kimberly Davis and the three other injured victims.
