Hudspeth County, TX – Victims Of Fatal US 62/180 Collision Identified

Hudspeth County, TX (August 13, 2019) – On August 10, at approximately 5:45 a.m., emergency crews throughout Hudspeth County responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle collision at milepost 77 on US 62/180.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety state that a Honda Accord was traveling west along US 62/180 when the vehicle drifted across the center line and into the oncoming lane, where it collided head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup.

The driver of the Accord, identified as 29-year-old Andujo Gonzalez, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, who was identified as 22-year-old Luis Angel Garcia, and his passenger, 30-year-old Marcos Hernandez, sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
