Fort Worth, TX (August 6, 2019) – On August 5, during the early morning hours, the Fort Worth Police Department and emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle Accident in the 1500 block of East Northside Drive.
Reports from police indicate that a pickup truck carrying five occupants left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The impact from the collision caused the vehicle to burst into flames as all five occupants were trapped inside.
The five individuals inside the truck sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The flames from the truck spread to a nearby tent, where a homeless man was sleeping. The man caught on fire and sustained serious injuries. The male was transported to Parkland Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
