Houston, TX (April 23, 2019) – On April 21, police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident on McCarty Road near North Loop East.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. According to reports, a semi-truck was traveling along McCarty Road. The semi-truck attempted to make a left hand turn on to North Loop East when it struck a female pedestrian who stepped onto McCarty Road.
Police believe the driver’s view of the pedestrian was blocked by another 18-wheeler on the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
