Baltimore Metro Report: December 2017

The Zumper Baltimore Metro Report analyzed active listings in November across 13 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the Fastest Growing rents. The Maryland state median rent was $1,292 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Columbia, MD rent, growing 5.2% to $1,630, continued to be the most expensive in the metro.

–Annapolis, MD outpaced Elkridge to become the second priciest city with one bedrooms priced at $1,520.

–Elkridge, MD fell one spot to rank as third with rent at $1,500.

The Least Expensive

–Brooklyn Park, MD prices grew $40 to $840 but remained the most affordable in the metro.

–Dundalk, MD followed closely behind as second least expensive with rent at $850.

–Parkville, MD was third at $940.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Baltimore, MD had the largest yearly rental growth rate, up 15.7%.

–Annapolis, MD rent ranked as second, climbing 14.3%.

–Elkridge, MD had the third fastest growing rent, jumping 13.6%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Ellicott City, MD saw prices climb 5.3% last month, making it the fastest growing.

–Columbia, MD followed closely behind with a 5.2% monthly rental growth rate.

–Catonsville & Brooklyn Park, MD tied for third with prices up 5%.BaltimoreDECmetro
