Founded in 1999, Spinnin’ Records is a powerful name in EDM, especially in the genres of big room and deep house. Established in 1995, Ultra Music is an American label housing a powerful roster of artists, including Axwell, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki and Benny Benassi. Ultra was founded by Patrick Moxey also became Sony’s president, helping EDM get more mainstream over the years. Don’t forget that Ultra Music is also responsible for the humongous music festivals, also aptly-called Ultra.

Monstercat is based in Vancouver and was founded in 2011. Despite being a young imprint in the industry, the label has managed to pull off one million of record sales. Monstercat first started as Youtube channel with the goal of allowing friends to share their music. Later on, Monstercat evolved into an independent and popular label that it is today with Krewella, Vicetone, Eminence, Karma Fields and Rameses B among the roster of its artists.

Established by producer and entrepreneur Steve Angello, this Sweden-based label is home to many famous DJs and producers, including but not limited to Tiesto, Afrojack, Avicii, Max Vangeli and Kris Menace. The label has produced some tracks that topped Beatport such that of “Monkey in Love” by Tommy Trash and Steve Angelo’s own track “SLVR” which also happened to be Size’s 100th track to be released.

Dim Mak is Steve Aoki’s music magnified into a label. Dim Mak Records is best known for being loud, fun and playful which is how most of its founder, Steve Aoki also sounds. Established in Los Angeles in 1996, Dim Mak has also branched out into the apparel industry targeting the music communities. Among the artists under this label of course Steve Aoki, Like Mike, Clockwork and Dimitri Vegas.

Founded in 2007 by DJ/producer Mau5trap, the label aimed to be Mau5trap’s premium venue for his own releases. The label thrived quickly and embraced into its family some of the most popular DJs and producers in the industry including Max Cooper, Skrillex, Pig & Dan, Wolfgang Gartner and of course Mau5trap himself.

Firepower Records was established in 2012 through the efforts of Canadian producer, Datsik. Known for the producer’s brand of infectious and provocative music, Firepower is also home to Fox Stevenson, Delta Heavy, Zomboy, Bare Noise, Barely Alive, PhaseOne and Carvar & Clock.

With a roster of hand-picked talented musicians, Musical Freedom is a label established by another A-list in the EDM industry, Tiesto.
