Best Sports Car for the Money goes to 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Value and performance are hard to come by, but for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata it's just another day, because the roadster was named by U.S. News & World Report as the 'Best Sports Car for the Money'.

Because of its driving performance, safety ratings, reliability, comfort, features and positive reviews, the MX-5 Miata was a no-brainer for the award.

Since entering the marketplace nearly 30 years ago,  it has gone through a myriad of changes, including Mazda's SKYACTIV Technology and the new KODO-soul of Motion design. To make it a good value, however, the MX-5 Miata needs to offer good bang for the buck. Starting with an MSRP of $24,915, standard amenities include power windows, LED headlights and tail lights and leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob and parking brake. If you're looking to upgrade, a limited-slip rear differential, 17-in forged BBS wheels and Brembo front brakes are in the cards for the Club trim, while the Grand Touring adds headed leather seats, Bose audio, adaptive headlights and rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring and lane-departure warning safety systems.
