Allentown, PA (April 20, 2017) - Health Network Laboratories (HNL) is pleased to announce the opening of two in-Pharmacy patient service centers (PSCs). These are located inside Hartzell’s Pharmacy, at 300 American St. in Catasauqua, and inside South Mountain Pharmacy, at 2441 W. Emaus Ave. in Allentown.

We know how busy people’s schedules are, so we are working in concert with neighborhood pharmacies to make it easier for patients to complete their lab testing, as well as pick-up their meds and related necessities at one convenient time.”

When people leave their physician’s office, they often have a lengthy to-do list. Filling a prescription is usually high on the list, but time constraints can put off lab work until later. With PSCs located inside neighborhood pharmacies, patients can complete their lab work and pick up a prescription in one stop.

HNL’s priority is to provide fast, accurate lab results that ensure patients get the care they need promptly. More than 70 percent of all medical decisions are based on results from lab tests and HNL is mindful that access to up-to-date lab results is necessary for effective treatment plans.  More than 98 percent of all HNL test results are available within 24 hours or less, and individuals can easily access their own results on a secure website.

PSCs located inside independently owned pharmacies afford HNL the opportunity to work alongside community businesses who embrace the same “patient-first” philosophy. These PSCs also increase the convenience of access to HNL’s services in all of our markets, with more than 50 PSCs located in the Lehigh Valley and throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
