New Delhi: Preparations are in full swing to celebrate the International Yoga Day on Friday. Main event is being organised in Ranchi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will do Yoga asanas for about 65 minutes.
Over 50,000 people are expected to participate in the main event which will be attended by several state dignitaries, besides Yoga Organisations and Yoga Gurus.
However, Yoga Day’s major thrust will be on Delhi where party ministers/lawmakers will be leading the Yoga Sessions in morning.
BJP ministers/lawmakers will be fanning out across the capital to highlight PM Modi’s strong focus on Yoga and healthy lifestyle. It is also seen as a move to bolster party’s prospects in the national capital as assembly polls are schedule early next year.
Jharkhand and Haryana, where PM Modi and Amit Shah are set to take part in Yoga events, are set to go to polls later this year.
Delhi Yoga camp locations, who will lead the session
Below is the list of Yoga camps which will be organized across the length and breadth of capital. You can also join these camps by co-ordinating with the person in-charge of these camps.
About 10 lakh people are set to participate in the Yoga events, being held at various places across the capital.
Kejriwal, Sheila Dikshit invited for Yoga sessions
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Wednesday invited Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit to join a yoga session on the occasion of International Yoga Day on Friday.
Tiwari will himself be present at Ghonda event near Yamuna bank in northeast Delhi, which is likely to be attended by BJP’s working president JP Nadda.
