New Delhi: Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday entered into record books after he reached 10,000 runs mark in one-day international cricket and became the fastest to do so.
Kohli achieved this feat during the second ODI against West Indies in Visakhapatnam where he also scored his 37th century.
This record was previously held by Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli also became the fifth Indian and 13th overall to score 10,000 runs in the 50-over format.
VVS Laxman praised Kohli and wrote on Twitter, “And the insanity continues with an undying intensity. Congratulations #KingKohli on 10,000 ODI runs and 37th century. The hunger, consistency and intensity is simply incredible.”
Earlier in the match, India won the toss and decided to bat first at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
The Virat Kohli led team has made one change today. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav replaces pacer Khalil Ahmed. Obed McCoy makes his debut for West Indies by replacing Oshane Thomas.
