London: Congress chief Rahul Gandhi here today said that he has no visions of becoming the next Prime Minister of India as he views himself “fighting an ideological battle”.
He was replying to questions from reporters at an event organised by Indian Journalists Association. He was facing journalists questions a day after his address at London School of Economics.
Replying to a query, Rahul said he realised there is a “risk to Indian state” and this change has come to him after 2014.
Rahul Gandhi on the question of becoming the next prime minister said, “I don’t have these visions. I view myself as fighting an ideological battle and this change has come to me after 2014. I realised that there’s a risk to Indian state, to the Indian way of doing things and I’m defending that.”

Gandhi was also asked about his views on Triple Talaq Bill. He said that the Congress has an issue with the criminalisation but they have not stonewalled anything.
“We have an issue with the criminalisation but we have not stone walled anything. Our issue is with the criminalisation aspect,” said the Congress chief.

Addressing the Indian Journalists’ Association, Rahul said that the two problems which India has to accept are its job crisis and solving agriculture distress.
