Year 2013

The very first floor plans done by SketchUp

After SketchUp, we started using VividWorks tools and were able to speed up the drawing process. We produced and delivered always 2D and 3D floor plan. We gain a lot of popularity with our colorful floor plans that had a customer logo.

The very first pitch competition was a disaster. That was one of the most awful experience in working career. The monitor broke, I drop my papers and I was so nervous that I barely was able to speak.

Year 2014

Dwell on design conference in Los Angeles.

Starting up VividWorks interior design app on the iPad. It had a special finger tapping maneuver to get the right settings in the app. We promoted this app for the first time in Dwell of design conference in Los Angeles.

It all started in the summer 2014.

Dwell on design in Los Angeles. 10-day trip. Borrowed the money to buy flights from Oulu to LA.

The fresh launch of the iPad app demo that enabled interior design in the 3D floor plan.

Ended up traveling to Vancouver for a day to talk with the potential North American partner.

Year 2015

“Here we come Silicon Valley”. Tech Disrupt conference in San Francisco. Virtual Reality was one of the hottest digital innovations at that time.

Meeting our partner William in Austin, Texas. 

Hurricane in New Orleans. My trip back home to Oulu, Finland took more than 40 hours.

Year 2016

Sales team meeting in Vancouver, Canada. I and my co-founder Harri Pesola have met the first time in Vancouver 2005 when we were both working for Nokia. Our paths crossed again in 2012 when I joined Harri’s startup. That startup failed and we formed CubiCasa in 2013.

House of Finland event in New York. Even though this was not the biggest event, this is one of the most memorable events for me. We made a couple of really good contacts which helped us a lot later on.
