Viviana Mall’s ExtraordiNAARI casts a spell in Bombay Times Fashion week

Life after Acid attacks is painful and often the survivors go into depression after the attack. To resurrect and initiate with a new beginning is difficult. It requires unbeatable fighting spirit and support from the society. Viviana Mall has taken a step towards empowering acid attack survivors. It has initiated a campaign that was never witnessed in the Indian retail real estate industry – a campaign to stop the acid sale and to stop acid attacks in our country. The initiative was launched on March 07 in Viviana Mall and to take it a leap forward, the team reached Bombay Times Fashion Week.

Viviana Mall’s #StopAcidSale campaign was lauded with a standing ovation at the Bombay Times Fashion week 2018. The special audio-visual followed by the fashion show of women acid attack survivors touched hearts of one and all present in the country’s biggest fashion extravaganza.

The confidence and panache shown by women acid attack survivors was second to none in the fashion industry. Stalwarts from the glamour and fashion fraternity were spell bounded by the confidence and panache shown by women acid survivors presented by Viviana Mall on the ramp. The fashion sense and style of these acid attack survivors was noteworthy on ramp.

Speaking about the show, Ms. Rima Pradhan, Sr. Vice President, Marketing at Viviana Mall said, “Understanding pain and agony of the acid attack survivors is beyond our imagination. All doors towards success were shut by the narrow-minded shenanigans of our society who attacked them with acid but these survivors are standing tall, overcoming all challenges thrown at them. In all sense, they define the purpose behind Viviana Mall’s ExtraordiNAARI. We have already initiated talks for creating job opportunities for them. Our mall shall keep no stone unturned to uplift their lives.”

Laxmi Agarwal, the Indian campaigner with Stop Acid Attacks and a TV host was the show stopper of the Fashion show. She gave a powerful speech on their struggle post acid attack and threw light on how important it is to stop acid sale. At the event, she said, “If faces were important, then we wouldn’t be standing here. Our inner beauty is recognized by Viviana Mall and we are thankful to them.”

A special signature campaign initiated by Viviana Mall to stop acid sale attracted signatures and appreciation from all present at the Bombay Fashion Week. The word of mouth for Viviana Mall’s #StopAcidSale campaign has not only reached different parts of India but is also garnering attention across the globe.
