The data center operator and its daughter crypto-currency company are developing a bitcoin solar farm , which they call the country’s first “behind-the-grid data center” operating on renewable energy sources.
Located in the Mining town of Colli, the new facility is being developed by DC Two and its subsidiary, D Coin, and will be operated by a solar farm built by Hadouken. This is reported by IT Brief . Thus, the company wants to reduce electricity costs during the mining of digital currencies.
“By providing individual low-cost hosting options, specially designed for crypto currency mining at globally competitive prices, DC Two and D Coin were able to attract interest both to the local and international community of crypto-mining companies,” the representatives said.
The company also stated:
“In the full configuration of cryptomining, using an initial capacity of 4 MW, the data center could have produced about 650 bitcoins per year for about $ 6 million, given the current cost of BTC”
