Twelve percent of participants in the 2019 Accelerate State of Devops Report work in financial services, and the results clearly show that banks and other financial institutions are rapidly improving their software delivery and operational (SDO) performance, despite facing regulatory requirements that can slow down software delivery.
KeyBank is a recognized leader in digital transformation, using Agile and DevOps practices to deliver innovative changes to their online banking platform. We recently sat down with Robert Parry, DevOps Engineer at KeyBank, to talk about his team’s journey to faster, Safer Deployments with the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform.
When KeyBank needed to accelerate their digital transformation, they started building DevOps pipelines using a combination of OpenShift and Jenkins. However, they soon found that this combination wasn’t enough; they needed a solution that would provide release orchestration capabilities across their entire DevOps toolchain—including ITSM activities happening in ServiceNow. Their legacy deployment tool wasn’t up to the task, so they started looking elsewhere. Ultimately, the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform gave KeyBank the release orchestration, governance, and control they needed to deploy applications faster and safer.
