The Punjab Police on Friday reportedly arrested four persons in relation to the Rocket Propelled Grenade attack at the Tarn Taran Police station on December 10.

The suspects are said to be arrested from Chohla Sahib, a town in the Tarn Taran district.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav is likely to hold a press conference regarding the matter later in the day.

A rocket-propelled grenade was fired at a police station in Punjab’s border district of Tarn Taran last Saturday.

While it was reported that the windowpanes of a building adjoining the Sarhali police station were damaged, no casualties were recorded. Around 10 persons, including Sarhali police station SHO Sub-Inspector Parkash Singh, were supposedly on the spot during the attack. The RPG reportedly hit the iron grills of the gate of the station and landed at the Saanjh Kendra centre nearby.

It may be pertinent to note that a similar rocket-propelled grenade attack happened at the Punjab Police’s Intelligence headquarters located in Mohali earlier this year in May.
