Chandigarh, December 16, 2017:  The SAD spokesman Dr Daljit Singh Cheema strongly condemned the arrest and harassment of SAD-Bjp councillors by the police at the directions of ruling party to sabotage the elections being held tomorrow. He urged the Election Commission to take serious note of these happenings taking place at various places in Punjab.

In a statement Cheema alleged that 15 SAD leaders of Khemkaran have been summoned by SDM Patti to report at 9.00 am. He said though tomorrow is Sunday as well as polling day, but still the SDM has chosen the day to affect polling prospects of SAD candidates.

Similarly Our candidate Gurmit Kaur from ward No 59 has been detained in Civil line police stations of Patiala in some old case.

Apart from this our candidates from ward no. 8 , 38 and 23 from MC Patiala are being harassed and threatened by police to stay away from election. Similar complaints are coming from many other places.

He demanded inquiry into all these incidents and action against all erring officers.
