EXCERPT: It’s been over 2 years since I published this report. Yet, more incidents have occurred. In fact less than 4 days ago – on 1st November 2021, another even more serious building Collapse occurred with lives lost, injuries sustained and rescue work ongoing even as I type this!

Few – if at all any – lessons have been learned, since it seems nothing has changed. Indeed yesterday’s Interview of Architect Majekodunmi – a member of the Institute of Architects – at the Ikoyi site paints a truly sorry picture, but at the same time offers useful insights into the institutional limitations, especially on the side of the government, that make this problem difficult to eliminate.

I hope you find it useful.
INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT BEGINS
