Donate Old Furs to Make “Cuddle Coats” for Injured Baby Animals

Cuddle Coats are saving baby animals.

Do you have a “never to be worn again” fur Coat in your closet? If yes, please consider donating it to your local wildlife park or sanctuary. They can un-assemble your fur coat in a jiffy and use it as a “Cuddle Coat” to warm and comfort injured or abandoned Baby Animals.

As explained by an animal group in Minneapolis: “Cuddle Coats uses your donated furs to offer comfort, warmth, and rehabilitation to injured and orphaned animals before their release into the wild.”

Photos and Video

Here is a Boredom Therapy post by Maggie Watson that shows photos baby animals benefiting from the Cuddle Coats. In Australia, they are called Snuggle Coats. Enjoy a heartwarming YouTube video showing the magic of Snuggle Coats in action.

For those of you who would like to see photos of the fur coats being transformed into comfy baby homes, check out these photos from Little Things.

On a personal note, my cousin and I donated our grandmother’s 60-year old muskrat coat to the Two Rivers Wildlife Park in Nova Scotia, Canada. In the photo, we are both wearing faux fur … just in case you are wondering.
