The mom I hope to meet one day ……
belongs to one of the sweetest, kindest man that has a smile that will light up a room and he is my son-in-love, Paul. You see Paul is from Uganda and we have not been able to meet his family My daughter and Paul met while she was in Uganda and we have not had the privileged to meet his mom yet.
Jordan and Paul met while she was serving with an organization for a year in Uganda. She was serving the organization and Paul was serving there as well. When we visited Jordan in Uganda we got to meet Paul. Gregg and I knew there was a special friendship there but it was not to the point that we could meet his family. I really wish I would have had the opportunity to just sit and talk with his mom then and share stories of our children.
When I meet her, I want to say Thank You. Thank you for first sharing her son with us. I know it is hard for her son to be here , 1/2 way across the world. I know she is probably missing his fun personality, his hug, his smile and having him there to care for her.
I want to say Thank You for putting the value of family into him. Paul loves my daughter and through loving her, he loves us. I am thankful that he loves family.
I want to say Thank You for providing for him in ways that I know was sacrificing as a mom. Paul’s education, his future was all a sacrifice for her I am sure. Even just having him away from the home during that time would have been hard, I am sure.
I don’t know when, where or how I will get to meet her but I pray that one day I will be able to give her a hug, a smile and say to her, Weebale (Thank You) for sharing your son. He is loved.
Happy Mother’s day to the mom I have not met yet. You are loved.
