Grammy Tribute to the Eagles to Feature Band Members & Jackson Browne

James GladerWith the loss of so many prominent musicians in the past few months, there are bound to be plenty of tributes at this Monday night's Grammy awards. We already know about a Tribute planned for David Bowie, and now Billboard reports one has been lined up for Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey, who died January 18.

Billboard reports Eagles founding members Don Henley and Bernie Leadon will perform, along with Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh and bass player Timothy B. Schmit. Leadon left the band in 1975 and was replaced by Walsh; Schmit replaced original bass player Randy Meisner in 1977.

In addition, the band's close friend Jackson Browne, who co-wrote "Take It Easy," will join the tribute. In their pre-fame years, Browne and Frey were roommates, and Billboard notes that Frey has said he learned how to write songs by observing Browne.

Frey died of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia after several months of illness. His last performance with the Eagles took place in Louisiana on July 29, 2015.

The Grammy Awards, hosted by LL Cool J, air on CBS Monday night. Performers include Adele, Taylor Swift, Bonnie Raitt, Ellie Goulding, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.
