The show will be a double celebration, as Beck will welcome as a special guest blues great Buddy Guy, whose 80th birthday takes place on July 30.
"Sharing the stage and this moment with Buddy is a dream for me," Jeff says in statement. "His live concerts are legendary and the music world would be a very boring place without his influence."
The "50 Years of Jeff Beck" concert is part of the Hollywood Bowl's 2016 summer concert season. Tickets for the concerts are available at HollywoodBowl.com or by calling 323-850-2000323-850-2000, and venue subscriptions and group sales are on sale now. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 1. Singer/songwriter Beth Hart also will appear at the show.
Beck's many achievements over the last half century include being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, as a member of The Yardbirds and a solo artist, collaborating with such fellow music legends as Guy, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner, and inspiring generations of guitarists.
In other news, Beck currently is putting together his first book, titled BECK01, which focuses on his passion for both guitars and fast cars. The coffee-table book will be published in a signed, limited-edition version later this year. Jeff also is working on a memoir and an autobiographical documentary.
