Burien Artist Robert Dean has nine large scale (one of a kind) prints on display at the Burien Community Center until May 31.

Relief prints by Robert are produced with acrylic paint on paper, and are inspired by the construction currently going on around King County and how that effects the skyline around the area.

Here’s his Artist’s Statement:

For years I worked at night and had a long commute from Southwest King County to Northeast King County. The drive was long and solitary. I passed construction sites, industrial areas, and temporary night road work lit by spotlights.

The mix of mysterious passing images, warehouses, and backlit scaffoldings on the side of the road in the fog or rain gave me the inspiration for my work.

The Burien Community Center is located at 14700 6th Ave SW.
