The 25th annual ‘Dining Out For Life’ (DOFL) fundraiser will be held this Thursday, April 26.
Participating restaurants will donate 30-50% of their proceeds generated from the philanthropy day directly to Lifelong, which helps people in local communities fight chronic illness and lead healthier lives.
More than 80 participating area restaurants will open their doors to the public on Thursday, April 26, 2018, as part of a community effort to donate by dining out. Last year Lifelong raised nearly $175,000 in one day by partnering with various well-known and local restaurants in the Greater Seattle Area.
Here’s a list of participating local restaurants:
- Archie’s Mexican Restaurant
- Smarty Pants Garage
- Pickled & Preserved Market and Deli
- Noble Barton
- Vino at The Landing
- Water’s Table
- Locol Barley and Vine
Lifelong Executive Director, Barbara Ebert, highlights the collaborative effort of local Seattle businesses participating in the fundraiser, “We appreciate the support of our wonderful diners, amazing restaurant partners and our Presenting Sponsor BECU in making Dining Out For Life one of Lifelong’s biggest and tastiest events of the year.”
For over 35 years Lifelong has been a leader in the fight against HIV by providing food, housing and case management to thousands of people in Washington. In 2017 Lifelong fed more than 1,900 individuals through its Chicken Soup Brigade program, which delivers specialized nutrition meals to local clients who are battling HIV, as well as others who have heart disease, diabetes and other chronic illnesses. Last year the nonprofit agency was able to provide 41,105 bags of groceries and 179,834 prepared meals to those in need.
